It was standing room only as
the Seniors in
Action monthly meeting for October came to order.
General Vice President
Robert Thayer
spoke about the importance of the upcoming election on November 2nd
to a crowd made up of retired IAM members and seniors from around the state, who
seemed to know all to well what’s at stake.
George Kourpias,
former IAM President, now President of the
Alliance of Retired
Americans, stressed the
importance of seniors in this upcoming election.

79% of retired Americans between the ages of
65 and 75 cast
25% of the votes". "And those votes can put
America back on track"
This election cannot be ignored by anyone. “If we don’t act
know, in 2010, Medicare
will be privatized, and Social Security will be on
the altar of Wall Street”.
